There are many different opportunities from being a director.  You could be the director of an advertising agency, a director of a movie premier, the director of a movie, all these directors offer a wide variety of opportunities.  As a director, the job role is to direct people on what to do, where to be and how things should be done, if the role is done successfully, there is a good potential that a good piece of media will come as a result, whether it is a movie and the movie is on a low budge, yet it still gets good reviews or if it is an advertisement on TV and the advertisement gathers a lot of sales.  Being successful in the director role is extremely important as that role is the back bone to an organised and good quality set when producing a media product.
